Michael B. Gilden's main practice area is family and matrimonial law where he represents a wide-ranging client base in divorce, custody, paternity, post-dissolution enforcement, modification and other related matters. Mr. Gilden represents clients with complex business valuation issues, as well as sensitive and intricate matters concerning custody and other children related issues. Prior to joining TKO, Mr. Gilden practiced at the national firm of Boies, Schiller & Flexner, LLP and South Florida's family law boutique of Miller, Schwartz & Miller, P.A. Mr. Gilden's practice includes pro bono representation, as well as serving as a Guardian Ad Litem in contested matters representing the interests of children as selected by his colleagues and appointed by the Court. Mr. Gilden earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami. He received his law degree from Nova Southeastern Law School where he received a full academic scholarship as a Goodwin Scholar. At Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, Mr. Gilden served as a senior staff member for the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law and was published in the Journal's Fall 2000 edition. More recently, Mr. Gilden graduated from the American Bar Association's 2007 Family Law Trial Advocacy Program. Mr. Gilden is the President-Elect of the Broward County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. He also sits on The Florida Bar Family Law Section Equitable Distribution and Continuing Education Committees.
