Steve Hiatt
Personal Profile
Steve Hiatt is a civic leader, business owner, and government affairs professional with deep roots in Utah’s public and military‑community landscape. At 31, he became the youngest mayor in Utah, serving two terms in Kaysville after two years on the city council. He is the owner and principal lending manager of Wasatch Capital Mortgage and works as a contract lobbyist and government affairs consultant on Capitol Hill.

Steve has spent more than a decade supporting Hill Air Force Base, serving three terms as an Honorary Commander and continuing his involvement as vice president of the Utah Defense Alliance and an Air Combat Command civic leader. His advocacy has strengthened relationships between Hill AFB and northern Utah communities and elevated the base’s visibility at the local, state, and national levels.

Today, Steve applies his experience to help clients across many industries navigate government processes, build strategic relationships, and advance their priorities.
